Conference Venues in South Africa

Those of us that live in South Africa know what a beautiful, vibrant country it is. Now that we have so successfully staged the 2010 FIFA World Cup, South Africa’s international profile continues to grow in stature – it’s a great place to live, it’s a great place to visit and it’s a great place to host a conference.

A number of notable awards given by the conference industry confirm this – in May 2010, South Africa was awarded 34th place by the International Congress and Conference Association when compiling a list of the leading conference destinations in the world; the Meetings & Incentive Travel 2009 Trends and Spends Survey voted South Africa 2nd among the world’s favourite long-haul destinations, with Cape Town voted the world’s 5th favourite long-haul destination city; and Cape Town was also named ″Africa’s Leading Destination″ at the 17th World Travel Awards in July 2010.

South Africa has a diverse selection of conference venues and facilities. Some of the larger convention centres are listed below, but if you are looking for a smaller venue, or something unique for your meeting, click here.
