The IAAHS 2007 Colloquium will develop discussions on topics that were raised at the previous
colloquium in Dresden, and will also include a strong focus on the 8 Health Section Topic Teams.
The colloquium will promote and facilitate an international exchange of views, advice, research
and practical information among actuaries involved with public and private health. Issues covered
will include: policy and programme design, research and planning, adequacy and services delivery,
sustainability, insurance, pre-funding and other financing methods.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The colloquium hopes to attract over 200 delegates comprising actuaries, health sector professionals,
health care providers and regulatory authorities. We would like to attract a significant African
and South African contingent who would normally encounter cost barriers when contemplating
attending previous colloquia.
