Prof John Hare
John Hare is Professor of Shipping Law at the Faculty
of Law of the University of Cape Town.
He is an Executive Councillor of the CMI, responsible
for African and Asian member MLA’s. Professor
Hare has been a practicing shipping lawyer in Cape Town
for 30 years.
He is now a full time academic, and is the author of
Shipping Law and Admiralty Jurisdiction in South Africa.

Michael
Tucker
Michael Tucker is a partner and director of Cape Town
law firm Fairbridge Arderne & Lawton Inc. Michael
specialises in shipping and related commercial litigation,
having been admitted as an attorney in 1995 and to the
Fairbridges' board in 1998.
He holds a Master of Laws (Commercial Law) degree from
the University of Cape Town. Michael chairs the executive
committee of the Cape Chapter of the Maritime Law Association
of South Africa.

Anisa
Govender
Anisa Govender is an Associate Partner in the International
Trade & Transport Department.
She completed her articles with the firm and qualified
as an attorney in 2000. Anisa specialises in all aspects
of shipping litigation and has recently completed her
Masters Degree in Maritime Law, graduating cum laude.
She is the Secretary of the South African branch of
WISTA (Women`s International Shipping and Trading Association)
and attended the 2002 WISTA International conference
in Norway.
Anisa also serves on the executive committee of the
Durban Chapter of the Maritime Law Association of South
Africa and is an executive member of the national Maritime
Law Association. |

Jenny
McIntosh
Jenny McIntosh is a director of attorneys Garlicke
& Bousfield in Durban. She specialises in maritime
law and international trade, and advises on all aspects
of the transport logistics chain.
She holds several degrees from the University of Natal,
Durban, including a Bachelor of Laws obtained in 1986,
and a Diploma in Maritime Law. Jenny sits on the board
of the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA),
and on the national executive committee of the Maritime
Law Association of South Africa.
